Cancer Biology 2022 will discuss how the burden of cancer continues to increase worldwide, putting enormous physical, emotional, and financial pressures on individuals, families, communities, and health care systems. Many health care systems in low- and middle-income countries have the least equipped to handle this burden, and many cancer patients around the world do not have access to timely and quality diagnosis and treatment. Also, in countries with strong health care systems, survival rates for many types of cancer are improving thanks to affordable early detection, quality treatment, and care for survivors.
